POTASSIUM

Production, industrialization and distribution

Potassium is an essential mineral for life, safe for humans and the environment. It is one of the three main macronutrients and must be replenished regularly on cultivated land. Its production is related to the demand for food, which is expected to increase steadily in the future.
The Malargue deposit, owned by PRC, has one of the main reserves of this mineral in the world and is strategically located, being able to divert its production to the main consumer markets.

LOGISTICS

Strategic hub with future projection

PRC has facilities with capacity to accommodate up to 3,000 people, industrial workshops, its own landing strip, dining rooms, offices and all the necessary infrastructure for its autonomous operation.
This property is strategically located in the main area of conventional oil exploitation in the province of Mendoza, and in the region with the largest unconventional potential in the province.

PROJECTS

Project boosters for Mendoza

PRC develops projects generating synergies with the economic activities that are within its area of influence.
PRC is looking for partners and investors for projects related to energy, logistics, mining, communication, agriculture and technology, which not only solve the challenges of the exploitation of the Potassium deposit, but also enhance the business and economic ecosystem of the region.

BUSINESS

PRC contemplates a comprehensive development plan for its assets and for the south of the province of Mendoza, seeking synergies with the rest of the economic activities in the region.

One of its most important assets is the potassium deposit located on a 80,000 hectare property owned by the company.
This deposit has certified reserves of 300 million tons and facilities under construction for its commercial exploitation. This company´s undertaking also has all the environmental authorizations and permits necessary to continue with its construction.

Its strategic location and its facilities in the middle of the Vaca Muerta formation, a few km from the main conventional deposits already under exploration, allow it, as well, to project itself as a node of industrial services and of services with the greatest growth potential in the region.

“Development for Mendoza”

SITE AND PLANT

POTASSIUM

It is located approximately 200 kilometres south of the city of Malargue in the province of Mendoza (Argentina), at variable depths within what is known as the Huitrina basin.
It was developed to be exploited through the dissolution mining technique. Due to its power and quality, it is considered a world-class deposit, with reserves of almost 400 million tons.

It is located near the Colorado River, which also corresponds to the border between the provinces of Mendoza and Neuquén.

The mine has 78 wells already executed, all of them in perfect condition and protected by active anti-corrosion systems. There are different access to the mine from Malargue, the main one is through National Route 40 and Provincial Route 189, with alternatives through other provincial and interprovincial routes.

MALARGUE SOUTH LOGISTICS NODE

PRC has facilities with a capacity to accommodate up 3,000 people, industrial workshops, its own landing strip, dining rooms, offices and all the necessary infrastructure for its autonomous operation. This property is strategically located in the main area of conventional oil exploitation in the province of Mendoza, and in the region with the largest unconventional potential in the province.

The region has significant oil activity, great mining potential and is located in the same region as the Vaca Muerta unconventional hydrocarbon deposit. Undoubtedly, this proximity is presented as a source of important synergies, fundamentally in infrastructure issues, which will allow meeting the demands for goods and services in the region.

The proximity to the Pehuenche pass to Chile is considered a strategic advantage of the project by allowing access to the Pacific Ocean and access to Asian markets.
